GameSchool – Terms of Service
1. Introduction and Acceptance
Welcome to Game School, an educational mobile application designed to teach mathematics, English, and languages to children through interactive Minecraft-based learning experiences. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Game School app and services (collectively, the “Service”).
By downloading, installing, or using Game School, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are under 18 years of age, your parent or legal guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf.
Important: If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. About Game School
Game School is operated by Game School Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. We provide educational content through custom Minecraft maps and interactive learning modules designed specifically for children’s education.
Service Features:
– **Basic Access (Free):** Limited monthly access to educational courses and content
– **PRO Access (Paid Subscription):** Unlimited access to all courses, plus access to Minecraft Education licence
– Interactive learning through proprietary Minecraft maps
– Progress tracking and parental oversight tools
3. User Accounts and Age Requirements
Account Creation
– Parents or legal guardians must create accounts for children under 13
– Children aged 13-17 may create accounts with parental consent
– All users must provide accurate information during registration
Parental Responsibility
– Parents are responsible for monitoring their child’s use of the Service
– Parents control subscription management and account settings
– Parents may access their child’s progress and learning data at any time
4. Subscription Terms
Basic Access (Free)
– Limited monthly access to educational content
– No access to Minecraft Education licence
– Standard customer support
PRO Access (Paid Subscription)
– Unlimited access to all educational courses and content
– Includes Minecraft Education licence for use with GameSchool content
– Priority customer support
– Monthly or annual billing options available
Billing and Payments
– Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
– Payment is charged in advance for each billing period
– Prices are displayed in GBP and include applicable VAT
– Refunds are subject to our refund policy outlined in Section 12
Cancellation
– You may cancel your PRO subscription at any time through your account settings
– Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
– No partial refunds for unused portions of subscription periods
5. Minecraft Integration and Intellectual Property
Our Minecraft Content
– GameSchool creates and owns proprietary Minecraft maps and educational content
– Our Minecraft maps are protected by copyright and may not be distributed, modified, or used outside of the GameSchool Service
– PRO subscribers receive access to Minecraft Education as part of their subscription for use exclusively with Game School content
Minecraft Education Licence
– Minecraft Education access is provided through our partnership agreement
– Use is limited to GameSchool educational content only
– Minecraft Education licence terms apply alongside these Terms
– Misuse of Minecraft Education access may result in account termination
User-Generated Content
– Users may create content within GameSchool’s educational framework
– You retain ownership of your original creations but grant us licence to use them within the Service
– We reserve the right to remove any user content that violates these Terms
6. Acceptable Use Policy
Permitted Uses
– Educational activities as intended by the Service
– Age-appropriate interaction with learning content
– Parental supervision and involvement in child’s learning
Prohibited Uses
– Sharing account credentials with unauthorized users
– Attempting to access or distribute our proprietary Minecraft maps outside the Service
– Using the Service for any non-educational commercial purposes
– Violating any applicable laws or regulations
– Harassing, bullying, or inappropriate communication with other users
– Attempting to circumvent subscription limitations or payment requirements
7. Privacy and Data Protection
We are committed to protecting your privacy, especially that of children using our Service. Our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms, explains:

– Your rights regarding personal data

Parents have the right to access, correct, or delete their child’s personal information at any time.
8. Service Availability and Modifications

– We strive to maintain 99% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service
– Planned maintenance will be announced in advance where possible
– We are not liable for service interruptions beyond our reasonable control
Modifications to Service
– We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the Service
– Significant changes will be communicated to users in advance
– Price changes for subscriptions will be notified at least 30 days before taking effect
9. Account Termination
Termination by You
– You may delete your account at any time through account settings
– Upon termination, access to PRO features ceases immediately
– Some data may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes
Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate accounts for:
– Violation of these Terms
– Fraudulent or illegal activity
– Misuse of Minecraft Education licence
– Non-payment of subscription fees
– Protecting the safety and experience of other users
10. Disclaimers and Limitations
Educational Content
– Game School is designed to supplement, not replace, formal education
– We do not guarantee specific learning outcomes
– Educational content is provided “as is” without warranties of completeness or accuracy
Technical Limitations
– The Service depends on third-party platforms including Minecraft Education
– We are not responsible for issues arising from third-party software or services
– Device compatibility and performance may vary
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by English law:
– Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim
– We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
– Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation
12. Refund Policy
PRO Subscriptions
– 14-day cooling-off period for new annual subscriptions (UK Consumer Rights)
– Refunds for technical issues that prevent Service use
– No refunds for partial use of subscription periods
– Refund requests must be submitted through customer support
Processing Time
– Approved refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days
– Refunds will be credited to the original payment method
